Going to see Dr. Yakes!!!!
I just found that Dr.Yakes will see me, not sure of the date as when I called to set the appt. up Julie was not available.
I am so happy someone is finally willing to help me. Anyway, where is a good place to stay, and things like that. Also how does sclerotherapy happen.... THanks Kristie |
Re: Going to see Dr. Yakes!!!!
Kristie,
I am going to see Dr. Yakes on the April 27th. Let me know how soon you get in to see him. That would be cool if we could get together. If your appointment is at a later date we can still get together. I live in Colorado Springs which is 70 miles south of Denver. Hank |
Re: Going to see Dr. Yakes!!!!
I have an appt. on May 24th, but since I have no insurance I have to find out where I will get 30,000 dollars.
I am so stressed, and frustrated...here I thought that I would get it fixed expecting to have to put 5,000 or so up front, but 30,000! Any advice, my primary doc is looking for other options but I am very fearful of other "options"........ :-\ Kristie |
Re: Going to see Dr. Yakes!!!!
Not sure if any of this will be helpful...but maybe worth checking out. I don't know enough about insurance...but does your state have resources?
Possible leads: (some are for children's organizations...but they might have adult leads for you) Shriner's Hospitals Grange Philanthropy Guide Ronald McDonald House Grants Kiwanis FACES: The National Craniofacial Association Children's Chariities of America Independent Charities of America CFE Combined Federal Campaign United Way State Employee Campaigns Operation Smile another idea: is to contact your local media and see if you can get your story covered via article or tv.... many parents have done this in their areas and it has brought a lot of attention to the subject. Maybe it would be possible to coordinate a fundraiser with the media attention? wish I could tell you more. Corinne |
