Laser Surgery
 

Hi

My daughter has a large H on her left eyelid/head and also behind her eye. As it is affecting her vision laser surgery has been mentioned as steroids (oral and injection) did not work.

What are others experiences of laser - did it work? how many sessions did your child have? was there really bad scarring?

Hello,

Laser can be beneficial for some hemangiomas. Typically used for someone flat lesions. You can see pictures of my son on the msn support group http://groups.msn.com/vascularbirthm...on=get_threads
He is on page 22 Nicholas segmental hemangioma. He had 8 total laser tx. as his lesion was extensive. He has no scarring. I feel strongly that an experience laser specialist should do the laser treatments. You should consider contacting Dr. Stuart Nelson on ask the expert page for his advice. If you can share a photo of the lid h. that would be helpful.
