Just needed to share

Hello.
I am really happy Ifound this website even though a little late.
I have a 17 month old so who has an H ov his bottom lip. It appeared a week after his birth. We woke up one morning and his lip (almost half of it) was red. I come from Greece and there are a few good doctors here. Within a month and a half it was swollen and ulcered. So he had his first laser. After three laser sessions his bottom lip is much better. The red color has vanished and it only has some little red spots that the doctor said that they will go away in time.
Everything is better now but I lost the first 8 months of my baby. I couldn't be happy for our little miracle and I kept on crying and worrying.
Now he is healthy, there is not a big scarring and not a big swelling on his lip and I thank God every day.
Does anyone, whose child has had laser, know
a) if the scarring and the swelling with time goes diminishes?
b) if the son affects the red spots?

Thank you very much
PS: Be proud and thankful for your babies no matter what!

welcome to the web site, and Greece is a lovey place, I visited it last summer, and yes, you have one of the tops doctors there in Athens, !!!

The H should always be covered in the sun with a skin protector, the skin is more senitive and tends to burn more,, so i highly recomeend a strong sunscreem on the area and , especially on baby fine skin.

Thank you fo your reply.
I didn't mention that my son has another one really small H on his cheek in the size of a dot. And while it was stable up until 11 months it has 3 months now that it shows a really slow but steady growth. I always use sunscreen and I was so careful and scared during the summer that I never took him out during the day only during the afternoon.
Will it stop growing?
Is it the sun that affects it?
Thak ou in advance
