Laser treatment with less bruising?
Hi there -
I've had laser treatments years ago for my port wine stain birthmark (located on my face and neck), but I haven't had treatments in many years. I have a full-time job and a young child, and I've found it difficult to take two weeks "off" after the treatment, and I am uncomfortable being in public with the heavy bruising. I've heard from one dermatologist that they can now treat PWS with less bruising. Does anyone have any information about this? Thanks so much Katie |
Speak to a local doctor. Lasers have improved greatly in the lasst years.
Look for posts by "kkent" She has laser treatment recently and used a three day weekend. She was completely recovered to go back to work on time. Missy |
PWS treatment receommended!
I go back for my 2nd treatment on my PWS today! Very excited. the first treatment I took a 3 day weekend, expecting crazy swelling and bruising. Although everyone reacts different.. I have only a normal weekend a head of me.. and I was totally fine even after the treatment. I did apply ice for the 1st 2 days and slept elevated. But it was not as bad as everywhere I read.
Again.. some people may have PWS mroe extensive than mine.. mine is the size of a silver doller on my right cheek.. and the results are great so far.. lost of fading. So excited to go again. It literally wasn't bad.. I wanted to go again later that week for another treatment, just because it wasn't bad at all. and the results you could see so much changing every day. Let me know if you have any questions.! |
How did your second treatment go? As well as the first?
Missy PS.. thanks for coming by and posting to this one! |
Worth every bit of it!
My second treatment was a success! It has been 5 days.. and I took my makeup off last night and it faded so drastically.. I was soooo happy!

Hi, I also had laser treatment a few years back but I'm dreading going back. I also have a PWS stain but on my left cheek. It's a dark pink and it used to go black when I had treatments before. I'm a teacher so I'm not looking forward to the questions. Did yours go black? Thanks
