Port Wine + Pigmentation Loss

Hi I'm 29 yrs old and never have had a proper diagnosis for my birthmark. I've had a total of 6 laser treatments from 2 doctors until my insurance was dropped 4 years ago. Even then my laser surgeon in Houston said he never seen a birthmark like mine and the circulation problems. I have what looks like a port wine birthmark on the front and back of my neck. From the birthmark down covering the right portion of my chest and back going all the way down my right arm to my finger tips i have a loss of pigmentation and circulation problems. My right side having less circulation and less muscle mass where the lack of pigmentation is. Also my skin gets red and purplish in these areas when cold. I have never seen a similar case with anyone else. Whats causing the lack of circulation in these areas? I'm trying to save money to make an appointment with a specialist but does anyone have any ideas or seen this before?

Do you have a picture? Maybe your diagnosis isn't correct!

Here's a pic of my chest its the same on my back and down my arm. Its hard to see the pigmentation difference in this pic. Much more obvious in person. And the right side of my chest has about half the muscle mass then my left side from weak circulation

I guess I don't have any real input after seeing the pictures. Sorry!

Yea same response I've gotten in the past. I was seeing one of the top laser surgeons in Houston and said the same thing. He also seemed not to care either though. I really want to find out about the circulation problem before i start to get it covered. I'm saving now to hopefully start in a couple months getting it tattoed over. Which is gonna be a fairly large tattoo covering my entire right arm, right side of my chest and upper back. I just can't take another summer avoiding activities that involve taking off my shirt. Its been 29 years not taking my shirt off once in public so if I start in a couple months I should be ready for next summer.

Do you think a tatoo is a good idea when you aren't exactly sure of the diagnosis. Also, I would be concerned until you get information on the circulation. My daughter has circulation issue on her right side and we don't allow blood pressure checks, needle sticks, or anything on that side. I can relate to wanting to cover it up and go on with your life. Wishing you the best of luck!

Yea I'm thinking I will try to find a specialist first before covering up. Thanks for your time

I've never seen a port-wine stain as light colored as yours. It may cover a large area but I would kill for that color mine is bright red and when i get cold it changes to bright purple. And I was just wondering what color will you pick? My port-wine stain is on my face and in the summer it changes color from when it is in the winter? Aren't you concerned that even if you are tattooing over it, you'll still see it during certain seasons? And if it works for you let me know. I might tattoo my face =) for real.
