Default question about involution, turning color, scabbing, and ulceration

Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone could provide some much needed insight! My son is 8 weeks old and has 5 H's (2 on the top of his head, 1 on his eyelid and 2 on his back). The 2 on his head are larger than the rest. They're both slightly larger than a quarter and raised. One of them has turned kind of blackish in the middle with some yellowish scabbing. The other on the top of his head has started to turn greyish in the middle. They're both still raised, but they seem to have flattened somewhat from the center. Is this possibly a sign of involution? None of the other 3 H's have changed much in color or size.

I should note that my wife and I have not seen any bleeding or noticed anything strange other than the changing of color and little bit of scabbing around the blackish part of the H.

After reading several posts, it seems unlikely to start involuting at such a young age and I'm now really concerned that it could be a sign of a coming ulceration.

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated!
