not sure how to use this as i'm new to this site,, please dont think me alarming but if you can, go for the more drastice approach. i'm a 37 year old male with the worst hemanjima i've ever seen covering my body and it DID cover my face to the extent that it disfigard my nose, eye, jaw, and lips with the heavy weight over the years. I had surgery from the age of around six months at Gt Ormond St hospital in London were they injected me with salin salt, tried scrapping parts out, end with taking a muscle from my leg and putting it in my face just to see if they could get me to smile!! i went through years of this (16) to end up looking only slightly better but with bad memories. then I canme across a Mr Poole in Oxford, he believed the only way was to cut this out totally. he placed two bags under my skin, streched the skin and peform three skin graphs. I just wish they new about that in the seventys! which ever option you take your child will be fine with it,, birthmarks are not like going blind in teenage years,, its a part of you like have big ears or a big nose!! and believe me they will have freinds, i have a wife and two very healthy boys now,, just try not to treat him/her differnt, dont make allowences for them, and if someone stares there only staring because they may not no what is wrong. good luke your be cool. (sorry for the spelling)!!
