My daughter has not received any treatments for her H, so I'm sorry I don't have any particular advice to offer. I just wanted to encourage you to continue trusting your instincts about your child's pain and demand proper pain relief. I just read an article in a parenting magazine about the widely differing views doctors take on infants' pain experiences. The gist of it was that some doctors/medical staff believe that infants feel pain to a lesser degree than adults do or that their pain is less significant because they won't remember it (incredible, I know!). It urged parents to not assume that infants are getting a certain level of pain relief. To instead be very aware of changes in your child that signify pain, continue to communicate that to doctors, and advocate for proper pain relief. You're absolutely doing the right thing.
