Hi- My daughter is 3 months old and has a lower lip hemangioma that runs all the way down to her gum line. The H started to enlarge around 2 weeks of age. Our doctor started her on Timolol (topical medication) at that time. Our doctor told us that it works very well on lip and eye lid hemangiomas because the skin is thinner in these areas. We have had a lot of success so far. It has stunted the growth and lightened the color dramatically. I saw results after the first night we used the medication. My doctor initially talked about steriod injections also, but the medicine has been working so well, we haven't had to start them. You may want to ask your doctor about Timolol. Best of luck!
