I think it depends on a few things. How old is the child? How long has it looked that way? Has there been any change over the past few years? My daughter had laser on the skin between her nose and upper lip last year. She was 6. It looked just like you were describing...spidery looking veins leftover from her hemangioma. It had looked like that for the past few years with no change. And her doctor said he didn't expect it to go away any more on its own. We also got a second opinion from the team at the Vascular Birthmark Conference and they said the same thing...so we did it.
