We have secured a number of rooms at the Comfort Inn Manhattan, 42 W. 35th Street 212 947 0200. They have given us a rate of $125 per nite for Oct 17 and/or 18. You must tell them you are with the VBF conference.
From there it is about a 10 minute walk, or a short bus ride away. It also includes a continental breakfast.
If you can get a better rate on your own, by all means, do so.
