My doctor and I have discussed and agreed that my 10 month old should have a MRI but we are not sure whether a regular MRI will suffice or if a contrasting MRI will be needed. Johanna has a venous malformation(VM) on her right cheek. When we look into her mouth we see that the malformation extends upto her palate and to the back of the palate. We want to rule an AVM. Can someone tell me why one should be used and not the other?
Thanks
