Default Hand Hemangioma

Hello! I am new to the site, though, I am soo happy that there are resources out there for parents. My son is 7 months old and has a red birthmark on his hand. He was not born with it, but started to get it at 3 weeks of age. It started out pinkish in color and then turned red. The mark changes color depending on the temp and if you press on it. Our derm told us that it was a H and to just wait and see. We are not sure if this is the best option or not. We realize that it is not affecting anything major (vision, speech, etc.), but we are still concerned about the social issues that it can cause later on. We already deal with soo many questions day to day and it is gets old quickly. It seems like we are the ones that have more of an issue than our son ever will!

Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. I tried attaching a picture and it will not let me because it is too much. I am not savvy enough to figure out how to make it smaller.

Thank you.
