Cost of Surgical Excision?

How much (ball park figure) should surgical excision of H cost? I am considering paying out of pocket if all else fails with appeals, etc. But, I'd like to know how much to expect.

Does anyone know if Dr Waner's office works with patients for payment plans or something? I know it's a long shot, but worth a try if need be!

Hello, My son is having surgery in April with Dr. Waner and the financhial director in the office said that his fee is between $8,000-$16,000 and that does not include the hospitalization or anestesiologist. We are so lucky to have Dr. Waner so to us his services are priceless but we are trying to appeal to the insurance company anyway. I hope that your appeal works out as well. Good Luck.

My daughter had hers surgically removed in January - our insurance covered, but I got itemized bills. For the Dr, hospital, anesthesia, and labs it was about $9,000

Our daughter had her H between her eyes removed at 4.5 mths. We were quoted 5,500, but when they saw her, they dropped it to 5,000 as it wasn't as big as they thought. Dr Reinisch did the surgery and was absolutely fabulous!

Eva's surgery is scheduled for mid-may... I'm so excited AND nervous at the same time!

You are in good hands - all of Dr. Waner's staff, and everyone we have dealt with in Riley's seven surgeries, and suture removals at St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital are top notch. Dr. Levitan and Janna have become like family as well. Best of luck to you.
