When we have noticed her "picking at" it, we always tell her it is a beauty mark and it means she has pretty legs and then kiss it. So, she started touching it and saying "pretty".
We she was much younger, it hurt her but then all of a sudden, it stopped. Friday, is when we realized that it was really bothering her again. I was carrying her on my hip and she grabbed it and said "ow!". I changed how I was holding her and didn't call attention to it with her. That night, when I was playing with her, I tickled her arms, belly, and right leg and got lots of giggles. When I tickled her left leg near the hemangioma, she started crying and saying "ow, hurts". If her diaper leg rubs on it she cries. I called the pediatrician's office today and they are going to see her next Friday. The reason for the wait is that she has to have surgery this Friday to remove a pyogenic granuloma(capillary hemangioma) from her bottom lip.
Hopefully, someone will be able to help her.
