I also would not take the wait and see. My daughter did not have any sign of a birthmark at birth. Over the first four months we waited and it grew very drasatically. I would have never done anything, but since it became ulcerated I did. That was too late, she was already in a lot of pain. She had hers removed on 5/10 and it was sooo great. No child should ever have to deal with the emotional burden that birthmarks can bring. Technology nowdays is amazing! You can wait, but there are certain timelines and such that doctors follow. I would think that because of location, doctors would want surgery to avoid it hurting vision. If that is an option, I have to say, in my opion, that it is the easiest. No medicines filling up your child, no painful laser treatments.
