Do you know David Taylor from Hemangioma treatment Organisation?

My Malaysia doctor advise us to do CT scan sooner and Dr marcelo Hochman said not needed before surgery? What do you thing?

Well, I'm glad that my reply helped. I very well remember going thru the same things when my son was young. I promise you that things do get better, and you'll come out a stronger person because of this.

What would the purpose be for the CT Scan? My sons MRI's had nothing to do with his surgery. Were they looking for internal hemangiomas? My son has cysts on his brain prior to birth and he also had other issues so the first scan was done to rule out PHACE Syndrome which they did. The second scan was done exactly one year later to check his head mostly because his head circumferance was off the charts. They were afraid he may have hydrocephaly. He does not,,,just has a big head like his daddy.

saw your reply about "regrowth risk", he reply me he is certain will remove all and not to worry.

My experience with Dr. Hochman is limited but I have heard nothing but wonderful things about him. I'm sure things will go well.

Visit to the specialist revealed that it was compound H (2 different spots on the nose). They prescribed propanolol and we are waiting for the go ahead after they look at the EKG results ... a bit concerned they haven't called me back yet .. appointment was monday. Anyways, the doctor didn't mention doing laser treatment and I didn't think to ask .. next time I am bringing a list. Hopefully she won't have any bad side effects to the medicine ... I am very optimistic about this drug. Keeping my fingers crossed.
