Default Doctor in Birmingham

Hello. Just wondering if anyone knows of a good plastic surgeon in the Birmingham, Alabama area. My 9 month old daughter has a forehead hemangioma and we are going to get a referral from her pediatric dermatologist to see a plastic surgeon. Thanks for any help you can give!!

My aunt is a doctor and used to work in Birmingham until she retired. I will ask her. Are you wanting a pediatric or does it matter?

We see a nice pediatric derm named Amy Theos here in Birmingham. My DD has a large superficial hemangioma on her hand (both sides). We are doing the watchful waiting thing. Dr. Theos is very kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Nelson (one of the specialists on this site) said that he had heard she was kindhearted and excellent - which has proven true for us.

Anyhow, I'm sure you probably found someone already, but just wanted to give you her name in case you had not.

Edited to say OOopss! I was reading quickly and didn't see the part about plastic surgeon. In any case Dr Theos is so nice I am sure if you call her office she wouldn't mind giving her opinions of any doctors you have in mind!
