As for consults, get in touch with Dr. Levitin at

http://birthmark.org/experts.php and see if you can arrange a consult with him. He will likely do what he can to help, even if it seems unconventional.

I'm also from Canada. I would suggest you contact one of the doctors that specializes in this field such as Dr Waner at the new york vascular centre. You can contact him via his website. It may be worth another opinion. Dr. Waner is a pioneer in this field.

I also hear good things about Dr. Levitin, he previously worked with Dr. Waner.

You should definitely e-mail and send pictures to some of the doctor's on this forum. Dr. Levitin and Dr. Waner are fantastic and get back to you so quickly. I'm also from Canada, and through this website, I contacted many doctors here for an opinion from them - they all said the same thing without any prompting from me. We tried to get treatment for our daughter locally - went to 2 different hospitals and they wouldn't do anything for us. We had to travel as well for treatment. But things might be different for you (we live in Ontario). I would suggest getting opinions from these fabulous doctors and then trying to find the treatment in Canada - be persistent, if it's something you want, don't give up! Good luck!
