you are asking for an opinion ? is that correct ? I do not have kids but i have a pws and all i can say is i wish i had treatment.

Rogercarlesso,

I would highly recommend emailing Dr. Stuart Nelson our laser expert for the benefits of treating capillary malformations early. Having tx. doesnt mean you don't accept the teasure you have in your little son... but it helps control the malformation getting worse. I do encourage you to email Dr. Nelson via the ask the expert on the home page of this website. (hope this translates correctly)

Sorry for the delay of my answer but here in Italy my son must follow a dye laser treatment you can not?hope is the right choice and there are other choices?

when i was born no one knew anything abut it. my family moved to a third world country while we have some excellent docs not in the field of birthmarks but this week i recieved some awesome news and we will see what happens !

My son's covers most of the left side of his face extending along his jawline onto the right side of his face as well.

Very interesting how many left responses there have been.

Something to think about!!

I have a large pws on the LEFT SIDE of my face incorporating cheek, chin, ear lobe, lower left lip, front left neck and chest.

Thinking about it (because of this post!) most of my health problems are left side related!!!

VERY strange.....
