need help for my 5 weeks baby..

Hello everyone,

I so glad to found this website because dealing with hemangioma is something new for me and it's really stressful.

My daughter ( 5 weeks old now) has a hemangioma between her nose and eyes (left side) and her pediatrician keep telling me to wait and see but I'm affraid because the H keep growing.

Does anyone know a doctor in NY that accept medicaid?? Is medicaid will cover the treatment? Do I need refferal?

I am in NY so I can help if you need anything! If its between her nose and eyes I would suggest you see someone about it. It could affect her vision. Where in NY are you?

I'm live at Brooklyn. I'm planning to take my daughter to see Dr. Warner but i know that he not accept any insurance. Any suggestion?

My daughter saw him as well. Call his office and see if they can work with you, etc. They are used to it since they they are not under insurance plans.

Our daughter had one in the same place, we are in NH and looked into going to see Dr Waner but because he did not accept insurance we kept looking for a Dr who did. We ended up in South Carolina and saw Dr Marcelo Hochman. We traveled down there on a Monday (we drove) we saw him on Wed and her surgery was on Thursday and we drove home on Saturday. He did an AMAZING job!! I am not sure of the types of insurance they take but we have Blue Cross and Blue Shield and it covered all but 1500.00. If you search hemangioma treatment center it will link you to his website. We sent pictures and medical records ahead of time so he could evaluate and give us an idea of what he was going to do before we made out trip. Best of Luck!

Hi. My 8 month old had a hemangioma in the inner corner of his left eye. It started growing at 6 weeks and continued to grow very quickly. We found an eye dr who after much investigation sent us to Dr Robert Hayman and Leonard Kristal in Lake Success on Long Island, NY My son started propranolol treatment on Oct 7 and within days the hemangioma started changing and shrinking. He has been on medication for 4 months and you can hardly tell it was ever there. The doctors take my insurance. You can ask them about medicaid. Hi! I have not signed on for quite some time so sorry for the delay in responding! We live in Gilford NH Our little one is now 17 months old and doing great post surgery! Would love to chat as well.
