are birhtmarks birth defects?

i was just wondering..do dr's/the medical community consider birthmarks (hemangiomas) birth defects?
And, does march of dimes money taken in support birthmarks research and such?
Where i live i have never heard of any birthmarks fundraisers/awareness.
I have really been wandering about this.. all info., is appreciated! Thank you !

I don't consider birthmarks to be birth defects, no. And I don't believe the March of Dimes supports any type of birthmark funding at all.

Begin a Day of Awareness campaign in your local community. It's a chance to educate people, raise money, and help people affected by birthmarks everywhere.
