2 week old with lower lip H, does anyone have experience with topical propanolol?

Hi, I am new to this website, my 2 week old daughter was diagnosed with a lower lip hemangioma yesterday. I am very concerned and am trying to learn as much as I can. Our doctor is Dr. Drolet at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Right now the H is just a red mark under her lip on the right side, but it extends down the inside of her lip. The doctor says that she will most likely require treatment and will possibly start topical propanolol very soon. Does anyone have experience with topical propanolol verses the oral medication, especially in the mouth/lip region? Also, if anyone has a child with a lower lip hemangioma and could describe your experience (progression, treatment, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
