Hi to all,

My name is Suhail Collazo Im from Puerto Rico.
I have a PWS on my right breast.

It havent been easy for me, living with this PWS.
Before getting married I was sure that all men wouldn't want to be with me because of the PWS. But thanks GOD Im with a person that gives me support and makes me feel like my PWS doesn't exist.

But now again I want to get rid of it.
I decided to write here to receive feedback of what are my options since P.R doesnt have a DR. that specializes with this. My last visit to the Dermatologiste was that I need to have Laser treatment with a Port Dye laser Ive looked it up in Internet but no luck at all. Ive been thinking of communicating with a surgeon which specializes in reconstruction, but Im not sure that will work.
Please, if someone can give me their opinion I will be appreciated.
Or a tattoo.

Hi and welcome!

What are your travel options? How far and how often can you travel from PR to, say, the US for treatment?

Tattooing is not a good option for pws. It is not recommended at all.

Hi Missy,

My traveling options are not too many, I would say once in a year during my summer vacations. Another thing is the cost, my last visit to my Dermatologist was that US has the treatment I need, but that it would be very expensive.

Ive been looking on this page for Doctors and it gave me one in P.R , Dr Maria Martinez. Could someone confirm me if this is true???

And Missy is NY the only place where I can receive treatment??

No, NY is not the only place you can get treatment in the US. Look for doctors in major cities with big airports, as that might bring down your travel expenses.

Call Dr. Martinez and speak with them on the phone. As far as I know, she is still in practice.

Is there any way you can verify if her office phone number changed??

Another question the cover up make up how can I obtain the right color??
I once spent over 75 dollars in Dermablend prodcts which didn't work at all.
Is there a way I can send my picture to the specialists of the make up so I can be sure I will obtain the right color?? My Issue is that when I wear bathing suits part of my PWS is noticeable to people that sometimes think is some type of mark that my partner has done to me :/ you might think Im obsessed with this but IM not, is just that some people sometimes can be cruel with people like us that suffer this situations..

Please send me your answers ASAP,

I will see what I can find out about Dr Martinez, but can't promise that I can find out anything. If a physician moves and doesn't let us know ... well, then we just don't know.

I wouldn't recommend getting makeup based on a photo. People's screens are all different... different resolutions and color schemes. I would buy makeup only in a store where you can try it on. What stores are in PR (department stores) that might sell those brands?

Now, about the make up, here in PR we have Sears, Macys and Jc Penney Im sure there are more but these are the only department stores I know and are slightly close to me.

I got my dermablend at Penney's and the nice lady at the counter helped me match it. Why don't you wander in there and try it?

Thanks, but how I mention before, I spent over 75 dollaras in Derma products at Jc P and they didnt work. They gave me a redish cover thatl looked pretty nasty. But anyway Ill see what I can do. About Dr Martinez did you find any info??
