Preemie born with 2 possibly 3 H's. Have you seen this one?
My son was born at 33 weeks and had these small hemangiomas on his neck. When he was about 6 weeks old, one of the superficial hemangioma darkened around the edges and feels deeper. Then a white spot came up on his head. After a couple weeks it turned into the lump seen in the pictures. Does this look like a deep hemangioma? We are going to a children's hospital Thursday to find out for sure, But our regular care doctor seems to think this is what it is. Any advice or opinions are appreciated !
Hmmm..I have seen hemangiomas shaped like that before but they had more color to them, so I don't know. I think so, but I don't know. It will be interesting to see what they say at the Children's Hospital. My children's hemangiomas were different so I don't have much experience with it, but I just wanted to wish you good luck. Keep us posted on what the doc says!
They say yes, it is a deep hemangioma on his head. We are going to the Dermatologist at Texas Children's tomorrow. So far they've given us the "lets just watch it line." Should I push for something to be done now? Do the deep ones normally go away on their own?
