Can anyone help?

Hello everyone...

Im new here,,, my name is Melanie and I am 25 years old.

About a year or so ago I noticed a large pinkish (light to dark at times) circle on the back of my scalp.* Its probably 2-3 inches each way.* And it is flat.. maybe slightly raised.* Also, sometimes I get headaches in that area.. they usually correlate with my heart beat- esp when its on the faster side. Any thoughts?

Anyways, Im not sure if this is an avm or not?* Do they usually look like that?* I have an appointment next week and hope to get a referral for a neurologist..

Any help is appreciated...
