Default Venus Malformation and New Spot :(

First I need to say hi, I basically lived on this forum like 10 years ago.

After much research, many dr. appts. and a trip to Boston for a consult, thanks to VBF, my daughter was diagnosed with a venus malformation on her face. It never did grow and change as expected and has been a non-issue (she's now 15 1/5 years old) - Praise God!!

However, two night ago she has what, from a distance appeared to be a bug bite on her lower leg. Tonight, on closer inspection I'm sure it's not a bug bite but instead some sort of vascular formation. It reminds me of a port wine stain, but if I remember right, they are congenital. So, basically I'm asking for any input. Has anyone had something like this just crop up?

All that dread and concern from so long ago is back and I am worried about what might be going on inside her that we can't see.

Hi and welcome back,

Where are you? I would have her leg evaluated by a specialist.

Yes, I have heard of vascular malformations "just crop up." Don't know if they were always there and just grew or if they are new lesions.

Let us know what happens!

Missy
