AVM in right middle finger

My name is Sarah and I am 31 and have had AVM in my finger for about 4-5 years. The hand doctor that I've been going to had diagnosed it with an angiogram. I have two places in my finger: one spot is on the inside of the finger facing the index finger and the other spot, the most painful and problematic, is on the very tip of the middle finger. I am currently taking blood thinners since he said I have thrombosis at the top which are causing blood clots. The clots are causing numbness at the tip of my finger which I have had for at least a month now and it has been difficult to use my finger at all sometimes. I'm not sure if I will ever get feeling back there or not and I don't know if it's a major issue. I'm wondering, if there is anybody that has them in their fingers:
1. Could there be more than one AVM somewhere else in the body?
2. What is the worst that could happen with an AVM in the finger?
3. What happens if it bleeds out?

I am currently trying to get back to my doctor with these questions. He is also referring me to someone else to take a look in which I will probably ask the same questions. This has worried me quite a bit and I do understand there are more risky places to have them than your finger. I have done research on the internet but most of the sites focus on the brain and spine AVMs. I sure would like to hear from any others who are going through this and their stories as well.
