Anyone gone to Emory in Atlanta?

My primary doc is trying to get me to go to a doc at emory university hospital a dr.kasirajan who is a vascular surgeon.
I do not feel comfortable going to another surgeon but want to know if anoyone has seen him or anyone at emory.
I would feel much better staying with Yakes. But trying to keep options open

I would talk to your primary doctor about the fact that this is a very specialized area...not just any surgeon can take care of your type of vb. Sometimes the local docs have to be exhausted for insurance purposes. I will ask about Dr. Kasirajan and let you know.

I think she is doing this because I am paying for it on my own so trying to find a cheaper alternative..but my arm is way too important to go "cheap".

NO luck on finding out the experience of the doctor she mentioned. You have to go with what sounds best for you. Just my opinion, but your birthmark is rare enough that not very many surgeons understand the complexity. On this site there is a pamphlet on many types of vascular birthmarks and treatment options. You might want to print it and show it to your doctor.
