new to the board

hi- i'm just finding out about this board, and very excited about it! this is something that i have looked for since my son was born-- i always thought everything would be much easier if there were others to talk to who have been there, you know? anyway... a little introduction. i am the proud mom of a 2 year old little boy with extensive PWS. mason is our only child, and he is the light of our lives, as i'm sure all of your kids are!!! we started laser treatments at arkansas children's hospital in little rock when mason was 4 months old, and we have had 6 treatments so far. we use dr. j. kincannon, and we love him! does anyone else out there use him? i recently heard about the new book, Buddy Booby's Birthmark, and i am thinking this may be a wonderful tool to use when mason asks me questions about his birthmark. would anyone like to share how they explained PWS to their child? i know the time is coming, but he hasn't asked anything yet.
