25 Yrs old-----AVM on my tongue..anyone else?

Today I had my 7th procedure for a venous malformation, 5 in the past between 2002-2003. We thought it was cured and then it came back in 2005 (1 procedure in august and one december 15, today). I was born with this condition on the right side of my tongue and decided to get treatment 3 years ago when my tongue started hurting feeling like the veins were twisted and tied, then a pulling causing pain. I have been a marijuana smoker for 9 years, started at 16 and am wondering if this is the cause of the AVM coming out. I also smoked cigarettes in college for 2 years between 18-20. The AVM layed dormant inside my tongue until I turned 21. IS the AVM stuck with me for life or is there a permament cure? Pics can be sent if requested.
