Dr. Waner an insurance issues

Hi everyone,

I wanted to let everone know if you are thinking of making an appointment to see Dr. Waner for yourself or for your child I strongly suggest getting it pre approved before getting the appointment for the operations. I wish I would have done that. Dr. Waner is a great doctor but does not particpate with any insurance due to the past in Little Rock Arkansa. For three plastic surgeries he has billed my insurance company over $52,000. The last two where both over $20,000 a piece. I guess he did not charge me as much for the first one because it was being filmed for the learning channel. (which has not aired yet) For some reason the insurance company paid more for the first surgery even though it was a cheeper bill then the last two. Also make sure your insurance works with Saint Lukes Roosevelt or Beth Iseral hospitals before making the appiontment because they except different insurance companies but I think except most.

I am in a very big war with my insurance righ now Sonya (Dr. Waner's insurance/billing lady) is doing a great job trying to get them to pay more to it so I am not stuck with the remaining $28,000 that they have not yet paid.
On top of that all my other bills from my eye doctor and radiation treatments my insurance company is not going to like me.
Good think I have been with them since birth (almost 24 years). I am finely getting my money worth from being with them for so long.
