Default Relationship btw PWS & Spinal Dysraphism

Hi All - My 2.5 yr old son's pediatrician and dermatologist believe that his PWS could be a symptom of Spinal Dysraphism. We have scheduled an MRI to determine if this is the problem. Anyone else have a similar experience? My son's PWS is >5" and on his lower back. He's always suffered from chronic bowel problems and leg and foot cramping. The texture has started to thicken over the past 6 months.

Hi,

I have a friend that has PWS on her spine, but do not know if she has SD with her condition. She does have a lot of back problems thoguh and is always in pain. During her three pregnencies she had a lot of problems as well. All three of her children have PWS as well, but her youngest child has the most severe with Sturge-Weber Syndrome.
My friend also thinks she could have SWS as well because of the PWS on the top of her had and has a couple symtoms of SWS.

If you are interested in talking to her email me at hankinne@cox.net and I will send you her email.

Hope this helps.

Hank
