Scleotherapy or Embolisation on AVMs?

I wonder if anyone knows if sclerotherapy is efficacious on AVMs?
My daughetr is going to start treatement of her large AMV (parkes weber) on right pelvis/buttock in may here in Sweden. We have to decide the treatement with either glue or alcohol.

I have had contact with Dr Konez on this website and he said that sclerotherapy not is working on AVMs, just VM.

I wonder if someone has experience of sclerotherapy on AMVs. How was the result? Complications? Is it better with glue?

Hi. I have an AVM behind my knee and on my hip and have received both methods. There are side affects to boths, I had good results with embolisition numerous times, and good results with sclerotherapy once. The second time I had sclerotherapy was a disaster - I ended up with tissue damage - unfortunately this is one of the side affects. I am still suffering the damage it did and its been five years - but the whole thing was a comedy of errors, it took 3 months to figure out I had an infection, and another 3 or 4 months to clean it up, so in other words, someone on my end sort of messed up. You need to discuss it with your doctor.
