Advice on where to stay in New York

Hi,
My baby is going to see Dr. Waner at the end of this month for laser. The first time we went, she had laser at Roosevelt hospital and we stayed at the medical dorms down the street. This time she will have laser at Beth Israel on 1st and 16th street. Does anyone have advice on where to stay? I want to stay in a hotel this time because I'm taking her by myself and need the convenience of a hotel. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
I've been to Beth Israel twice with my baby and both times we stayed at the apartments across the street. They are not a hotel but there is a 24 hs doorman, they have plenty of take out menus, there's maid service every other day and all kinds of businesses right across the street: Starbucks, different delis, Walgreens, etc. I have not seen any hotels really close-by.

We are going to see Dr. Waner in May and we are planning on staying at the apartments across the street. If you contact Cheryl at Dr. Waners office she should be able to reserve a room for you. Good luck!

there are dorms for Beth Israel as well. I am staying there in May for my daughter's excision. Perhaps you could stay there? Cheryl told me there's a shuttle as well, in case you need to get back and forth between buildings.
