Default Regrowth after excision?

My daughter had her H excised by Drs Waner and Levitin on May 15 2008. This morning, I noticed a bump where the H used to be, and when I pass my hand over it, I can feel it. I am trying not to freak out, but ya know, it's hard not to. Anyhow, have any of the parents here experienced that or just a scare where it wasn't actually regrowing? I don't know what to think right now.

How old was she at the time surgery? Was it still growing at the time of surgery?

After my youngest had her first surgery, the less aggressive, smaller hemangioma area looked good (on top of the head). There was a ridge at the incision, which flattened out and was flesh color, just as the doctor predicted. Then 3 or 4 months after surgery, the area became red and a bit puffy again. It still is - and she turns 4 next month.

We haven't worried about it that much, as it was not the noticeable/large one. Don't worry too much. Even if it a little of it comes back, laser should be able to take care of that. It is unlikely that it would return to the prior size.

Take it easy, and good luck.
