Our Daughter after 4 laser treatments

Our daughter Jessica was born with a large port wine stain on her face. She was r/o for SW and her eyes are fine so far. She just had her 4th treatment June 08. I thought I would post a before and after for other parents to see. The after picture was taken a week after her last treatment as you can see from the spots. She has had improvement.



Here is a before and after from her 3rd treatment. You can see the bruising and her eye swollen


I know when Jessica was first diagnosed I wondered what she would look like after her treatments.

Beautiful baby girl!!! Looks like she has had very successful treatments. What kind of laser have they used?

I think its a pulse dye laser. She has her treatment at Seattle Childrens Hospital. I am not aware of the different types of lasers. She goes back next month for her 5th treatment. We will be looking at how much improvement we see after that one. They told us 6-7 treatments.

When she gets cold it does get darker but I think that is normal. I have come to terms that it will always be there. I am sure when she gets older we will look into coverup options.

So glad to see your progress! Our son has his second treatment in two weeks for a PWS on his cheek. It's encouraging to see that others are having success.
