H on forehead

I am in the Tennessee area and I have take my daughter to a pediatric dermatologist and an opthamoligst to get her h looked at. It is deep and superficial and they are all tell me to wait and see. It is now going into her eye and I am afraid it will affect her vision. We heard that little rock was a good place, so we are going there on Monday. Can anyone give us any advice and dr. names? I will go anywhere to get this taken care of!

im originally from tn for 25 years, knoxville are. i moved up to kentucky about three years ago. my daughter who is now 15 months old was born with a large h on her arm and a small one on the back of her neck. we took her to see dr azizkhan at childrens in cincinnati. you can see her photos and story on her website. hes wonderful! there is also a great hemotologist at uk in lexington. dr sherry bayliff. i know that might be a bit of a drive for you, but they are great. i think...there might be a specialist in knoxville too. a family member of mine had her daughters treated there. email me if you would like me to find out where that is. www.caringbridge.org/visit/avaball

We are in Huntsville, Al and have gone to see Dr Buckmiller at Arkansas Children's on the advice of Dr Waner. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and her staff. My son will have 3 of his 8 hemangiomas removed by her in about 3 weeks. You will be in good hands at ACH.

Dr Sophia Hendricks, 865-524-7107 is a dr in knoxville. a family member whos daughter was treated reccommended this dr. good luck! let me know if you need anything else.

Dlr. Waner at the Vascular and Birthmark Institute of New York was our best choice. He has operated on over 4,000 cases. We travelled to NY in July and were very nervous at first. I am so glad we did! Our son continues to get complimnts on how wonderful he looks and how little you can tell of the surgery. The H was right in the middle of his forehead for 4 years.... very close to his eye. It is no longer there. We flew there at no cost, thanks to the American Airlines Miles for Kids program. Check him out before you make any choices.....and pray that God will lead you to best one!

I would like to say anyone who has to go through this should go to Arkansas Children's hospital. We made the six hour trip and it was well worth it. Dr. Richter and his nurse Emily treated us so well. They did steroid injections and laser treatment. I am feeling hopeful that this will put us on the right path. At least we foudn someone to treat us and they were so good to us.
