9 month old Hemangioma on Back

Hi there, i am a mom of a 9 month old little girl who was born with a hemangioma on her back...we went 7 months without any complications, until it started to blister and then open up. It then got infected and we are now at the phase where we have finished antibotics, and are just about done the antibotic cream..My little girl shakes with pain when we have to change the gauze pads to reapply the cream. We are scheduled back to the Dermatologist in March but we see our family Dr on wednesday. Is there anyone out there with information or help for me, i feel so helpless and i feel so bad for her in this pain, which seems unnecessary!

First and foremost, if the h is ulcerating and bleeding, you might want to consider seeing a vascualr specialist. not a dermatologist. let us know what area you are in and maybe we can help find one for you. My daughters h ulcerated when she was about 4 months and stayed that way for 4 months. we were finally introduced to a topical numbing cream called litacain. it worked wonders for the pain. you put it on before you apply creams and dressings. Thanks so much for replying! She has was seen by our family Dr yesterday and by the time we got home with her, they had her booked to be seen in another hospital 3 hours away from here. We leave at 4 am tomorrow morning to have her seen with about 8 Dermatologist and vascular specialists! Im so thankful for this web site!! Thanks again i will post how things go!!

Hi, Homeopathy helped me. I am presently seeing a homeopathist and the one remedy that helped with many of the cysts and different types of growths i tend to produce in my body. The remdies may vary from one person to the next. I still have six hemangiomas on my liver. I was born with one and it never grew and never gave me any problems. Now that i am 40 , within a year i have six of them. My daughter is 3 since giveing birth to her i had one the same year and now the six. Ialso get severe swelling and bloating in my stomach and was wondering could this be related. For now i am going to continue with the homeopathy as it did cure my endometriosis i had for six years the Thuya remedy got rid of all my cysts. so we are back from halifax and WOW 18 Dermatologists looked at her and we are involoved in a new study for the use of beta blockers to remove Hemangiomas, it looks very promising, i will post the url for you all to read on the study that was published in the New England Journal of Medicine!!
