6 year old still getting new Hemangiomas

My son developed his first H at around 6 months. It was very small but would break open and bleed a lot. It was gone by the time he was 18 months. When he was about 2 he developed one by his right ear and now with in the last 6 months there is a very small one starting on his nose. Is this common, can they continue to get new ones all through their lives? My family doctor didn't seem concerned and they are really VERY small right now so we are lucky, but I was just curious if he may get more and if this is common? Thanks so much for any answers

from what i have read, and i am not a dr, hemangiomas dont grow after 1 year of age. you might want to have him looked at by a vascualr specialist. my thoughts are it might not be a hemangioma.
