seeking propranolol info - Page 2

I would also like information on this. I am a first time mom and my son has a hemangioma on his left cheek that extends into the orbit of his eye. We started him on steroids, but are hoping to do the propranolol very soon as well, to try and stay away from the steroid side effects. He just turned 6 weeks, so it is good to see others starting it around his age frame. Thank you in advance!

My 8 month old daughter is on Propranolol for the past 8 weeks.
She has a left cheek hemangioma which started to ulcerate. She was started on 1 mg/kg twice a day and within 24 hrs the color changed. It is about 50 % smaller and thankfully not growing anymore. She was also started on Regranex gel - help with the healing of the ulcer - after 6 weeks the ulcer was completely healed and no more daily dressings.
We decided against prednisone - too many side-effects and in ulcerated hemangioma it can make the ulceration worse.

Where is your daughter's hemangioma located? I would also like to see before and after pics. Was she also on steroid treatment? Thanks!
