Worried About Surgery + Scar

My 21 month old daughter has two hemangiomas, one on the left next to the eye and one larger one near the cheek..

We have just been notified she is able to have surgery for the smaller ( eye ) H but were told at meet with surgeon that the scar will be approx 3cm long. This seems quite large!! Do scars fade easily when they are so young, and has anyone had this type of surgery next to the eye, if so, does the eye area look normal or does it appear 'pulled'??

Its only a week away so im a little worried, any info would be great!!
