How do you know when to choose other treatment?

My DD is almost 9 months old now and her H is still growing, despite the use of topical steroid cream. I have read all the great stories on here about propranolol and I wonder when should we seek out other treatment and in what order do you seek it out? Should laser be done first? And, if she is already almost 9 months old and it hasn't started to shrink at all, does that mean that it won't on its own? (I have read that most start showing some signs of going away by 6months). Her largest H is on her forehead above her eyebrow. It is not as large as some pictured on here but it is bulging out from her skin. Also, we live in Ontario, Canada and we would love to know if anyone has used any doctors in our area with success. Thank you!!

I think you just have to go with your gut when deciding when and how to treat or switch treatments. We were content with just waiting it out, until Maysie's hemangioma ulcerated. After seeing her in pain and miserable for a week, we decided we wanted to do whatever it took to make sure it didn't happen again. We saw three different specialists and got three different opinions (not to mention travelled two and three hours to see two of them). It was not an easy decision, but I was so glad to get the expert opinions, and I'm so glad we were able to get her on propranolol.

our daughter was 9 months when we made the decision to go on propanolol, and we have not regretted it, i posted some pics on a thread called "Before and During Propranolol".
our daughters H just kept growing until it finally ulcerated, we were fine with waiting it out until it went away...until the weeks and weeks of pain and pulling my hair out. We are very appreciative of knowing about this med.
