Deep Hemangioma Hard to the Touch?

I posted another question regarding my daughters deep parotid h. Now, in doing some more reading, I've come up with another. In all the descriptions I've seen of deep h's, they are referred to as soft. My daughters h (if that's what it really is), feels quite hard to the touch. Is this possible in an h?

Yes, it can be hard. My daughters was on a little while, then it turned soft.
My daughter also has a partoid gland H. She will be 3 in May. We found hers at about 3 months old.
