PWS on My Baby's Head

My baby has what I believe is a PWS on the top/back of his head, right where a male would get a bald spot when he's older. I figured this is a good place for a birthmark if he's going to get one since the hair would grow through it. Then I started wondering if the hair would grow through it at all? Does anyone know if PWS on the head affect hair growth at all? Or would the hair grow through it as it normally would?

I've heard of both.... men who had PWS under their hair and men who had bald (well, almost) patches where the PWS was. But generally, hair will grow and cover it.

here is an image of the pws. it hasn't been diagnosed as such, but from googling this is what i believe it to be. my baby is 5 days old. when he was born, the nurse said that it was a bruise from his head rubbing on the pelvic bone during the delivery, but i'm not so sure.

5 days old? Where are you? You need to have him seen by a specialist and get an accurate diagnosis.

If it is PWS, the hair should probably grow normally. I have a PWS that goes over my eyebrow area, and the hairs in my eyebrows have grown in without a problem, but I'm not sure if hairs on the head are any different.
