how often testing child for glaucoma

I would like to ask parents with babies who have PWS, how often were they advised to be tested for glaucoma? In our case, they tested at birth, and now my local pediatrist gave me the testing at 1 year, which I find it quite laste, or is this usual?

My child has CMTC and we were told to test each year.

Our son was tested 5 times during his first year, almost every 2 months. Each visit the ophthalmologist said his eyes looked fine. He wants to see us again in a year.

I've seen a lot of posts over the years that say every year ck up after the first year (a lot more closer monitoring the first year). Our son had a hemangioma, but it was in the eye... it was cked monthly for a year and then once a year.

Our daughter was checked every 2 mos for the first 8 mos. We just had our first exam under anesthesia while she was having her laser tx today and our Opthalmologist said everything looks great and she now wants to check her every 6 mos for glaucoma. I was told by the docs that they usually check every 6 mos until about 5 years old and then once a yr.(unless they have high suspicion for glaucoma.)

I didn't learn about possible glaucoma complications until I was in my teens (I'm nearly 24 now) and was told by my eye doctor then to have my eye checked about every 3 years or so.

I haven't done any looking into it past what the one Dr said, tho, and, having bounced around eye Drs, none of my other ones have ever heard about it.
