Life without a birthmark

Over the past 3 decades I've had many treatments to remove my port wine stain on my right cheek. The last several treatments have almost completely removed the birthmark and with very little makeup it is unnoticeable.

I feel so confident now - especially when meeting new people. I'm happily married but I sometimes I feel I need to makeup for the countless times where I shied away from beautiful women. I'm not accustomed to being looked upon as a handsome.
I'm a whole new person now it seems.
Has anyone else experienced this?

its great you feel confident an i hope you continue to feel that way even when you still have times when you don't feel as confident. maybe its just a old habit ? don't worry about it so much. we are only human.

sometimes i forget about my birthmark until i see a reaction from someone. but past couple days, i am noticed for my actions and not my birthmark. they know i am around helping and thats all people see right now. When attention is focused on me thats when i shield away moving away from media and vips.

what i am definitly no accostume to is dressing like a lady. LOL. i have a black cocktail dress i bought to attend the gala in NY and i am starting from now to remind myself i am a lady i have curves life is not all about jeans an vests and shorts and i can do that and remember to cross my legs properly and try not to blush with compliments LOL

Congrats! It's always good to feel confident in your own skin. My birthmark is not gone by any means, but I've learned to accept my body for what it is. I've gotten a lot of attention from guys even after they notice the birth mark, which leads me to think it's a lot more about my attitude than the way I look. Though I really am not looking for anyone, since I am happily engaged to be married.
