Hi there...
Just thought I'd leave an update on Kayleigh's H and using the 'wait and see' approach. As most of you know, it began to ulcerate before we lost the NICU back in December and the scab continued to get bigger for awhile. It didn't seem to bother her very much, only if we accidently rubbed the scab part, then she would sometimes get a little upset...but we have been very careful and that's only happened probably twice. At one of our NICU follow ups, one of her docs accidently rubbed off a small piece of scab off with his sleeve (oops..he felt so bad!

), it was only a tiny little piece, when it came off, there was some blood, but it was just a small little pool and quickly started scabbing back up later that day. Since the end of Jan the scab has started getting smaller and today it fell off! (I didn't even noticce till later this morning, it fell off in her crib

). It has totally healed with no intervention (still the same color of the rest of the H), the middle where the scab is is sunken in.
Her H in general is looking very good, it is turning less red...it seems to get more wrinkled and less 'full'..I can push it almost all the way down, and it slowly rises back up. Not sure if anyone else has experienced these changes...but it seems to be going in the rigth direction. And my little 26 weeker is doing great, she is meeting all her milestones and such a joy to us!
I tried posting pics, but the size was too big and I have no idea how to resize my pics!

Sorry!
