Hello. I found this forum while searching for resources on nasal tip hemangiomas.

Our daughter is 10 months old, and has had a hemangioma on the tip of her nose since she was about a month old. Our pediatrician initially referred us to a plastic surgeon, and subsequently to a specialist at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

We were told to wait it out that it would most likely take care of itself around 12-18 months. Additionally, we have a friend whose daughter had a nasal tip H (which looked much worse) and around 9 months it started to diminish naturally, and now at 2 years old you can't tell.

Maybe its just impatience, but we're not seeing any progress. It doesn't seem to be getting any bigger, but its not getting any smaller either. Are we still early in the process? Should we be looking into treatment options. The pediatrician was initially concerned with the H affecting her breathing, which it is not.

Where are you located? It might be better if you were able to see a specialist. One thing I would suggest is asking an expert here:

I would see a specialist just to be safe and hear all of your options.

Nasal tip hemangiomas are pretty subborn and usually don't involute completely without leaving some atrophied skin or damage to the cartilage of the nasal tip. I would highly recommend getting an opinion from a specialist. Please feel free to email directly if you would like help with this.
