My 2 year old was born with stork bite at the base of his hairline (which is still present and unchanged) and another pinkish mark on the crease of his nose (right side). I was initially told the small mark on his nose was an angel kiss and would disappear by age 2. However, it is still there and same shade (perhaps even a little tiny bit darker?). It is completely flat and you can see a few tiny capillaries under the skin. Now, I am wondering if it is a PWS and not an angel kiss. It also blanches if you touch it and gets redder when he is crying.
What do you think it is based on my description? Should I have a dermatologist take a look at it? Is there anything I should do...or wait and see if it fades (perhaps it could take longer than 2 years?)? Our pediatrician just said to wait and see.
It is very small - just a little spot on his nose near the crease...so I was thinking perhaps I should just leave it alone and wait until he is old enough to decide for himself if he wants treatment to have it removed -- but then again, it is on his face. Anyone see something similar and have some advice for me? Thank you so much in advance
